As has happened for about eight years running, the restaurant was dead on Super Bowl Sunday. That was okay-- we sat and watched the game, which to our surprise turned out not to be the coronation of Tom Brady that everyone predicted, but actually a game worth watching, particularly that last quarter. We were joined by my current favorite artist, Dave, from Bad Art Global, who had the quote of the night, a moment before the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots. Pretending to be one of the New England Patriots, gathered with his former teammates at a bar some time in the future, he said "Hey-- remember that season we lost only one game?"

ReplyDeleteI like the Patriots, a win would have been nice, but I will take an exciting game over a blow out win any day. Cheers to the Giants. Did you have a favorite commerical?

ReplyDeleteFunny, I just said that to a teammate on Saturday night after we lost yet another game. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteGlad I was rooting for the Giants. I was already starting to console Bink in the event that they lost, but we went from bracing ourselves to total joy in just a few moments. What an amazing game.
