Three or four times a day, I get a hit on my site from someone googleing the lyrics for "Lust For Life," the Iggy Pop song that the name of my site comes from.The song has been used recently in commercials for a cruise line. Supposedly the song is about the joys of heroin use. Maybe that's what they do on that cruise line instead of shuffleboard. I've always seen the song differently-- I think it's about enjoying life without being fucked up. Of course, Iggy was way into drink and drugs when he wrote it with David Bowie, so what the hell do I know?
I just think it's funny that the cruise line cuts the song off before he gets to "Of course I've had it in the ear before..."
