I'm Still Here!

I know my posts have beens sparse lately. I am in the midst of three tests in three days. Tomorrow's the last day of class. I'll have a test on the urinary system, and I'll be pissed if I don't do well on it.

Okay, so I flunked out of comedy school...

I thought it was a great joke, it made me pee my pants a bit.

How'd the test on the urinary system go? Depends.

I was wondering what ever happened to Stephen McCarter. I googled him and it brought me to your blog. I thought he was a real nice kid too. I was not one of the smart ones that got to go to Peterson(I was a little jealous). I loved you account of what life was like back then in the neighborhood. I graduated from Roosevelt. Maybe it was better your parents took you out of there, things really changed as time went on. Drugs and tragedy were hard to avoid. Sounds like things are going well now for you.

Ditto what I said to Skyler's Dad!

Minnesota Mom-
Yeah, this is the busiest summer of my life! School, work, kids-- it never ends.

I saw from my Sitemeter that I was getting hits from someone running a search on Stephen Mccarter, Haugen and Albany Park.

I hope you come back and see this-- email me at juanyen at yahoo.com and let's see if we knew one another. I was in Mrs. D'Angelo's 3rd grade class and Mrs. Clesceri's 4th grade class in 1969-1971.

Did you know Richie Gustek? He lived three doors down from me, on the 4700 block of Central Park.

I managed to track Steve McCarter down after I got out of college and moved back to the city, in early 1986. He told me how Albany Park had gotten rough (Richie had told me the same in letters). As much as I resented my parents for taking me away from a neighborhood I loved, they probabably made the right decision.

I used to work in a uro-gynecology clinic. In my world, pee jokes are always funny.
