I just checked the Minneapolis/St. Paul Star Tribune for news about the Franken/Coleman Senate race recount. I'm going to make a prediction: Franken is going to win it. With 18% of the vote in, Coleman's lead has slipped from a razor-thin 215 to 174. I did the math, and if that trend continues, Franken should win by about a dozen votes. Keep your fingers crossed. And the next time some idiot says "Oh, I don't bother voting-- one vote doesn't matter," remind them of this Senate race and Florida in 2000.

Franken will win, because he's good enough, he's smart enough, and doggone it, people like him!

Besides, he needs to win so we can break precedent and have more SNL alumni join our representatives. Give the Rightwing nutjobs something else to get heartburn about.
the thought of al franken as senator is great! i think people don't take him as seriously as they should because of his comedy background. in fact, franken is extremely well-informed and very sharp. he'll make a great senator!

Yeah, it's tough all over. Last week, Chicago's mayor got together with business leaders here about a bunch of planned layoffs. Let's hope this new bunch can work quickly.

Yeah, really-- WTF? Not only is Franken a great candidate, but Coleman is really bad.
What was really incredible about Coleman's campaign was that they tried to use Franken's old comedy bits against him. Hey, guys-- they were jokes.
