This morning, I got up and made french toast for my step-daughter and my wife. Since both my son and I are allergic to eggs, it was one of the rare occasions I used eggs in my cooking.
However, when took the eggs out, I was compelled to take them from the other side of the carton in order to keep the carton even.
Dammit, I'm blaming this on you, Kristi! (See February 13, 2007 post).

Look at the beautifully arranged, symmetrical, even-weighted egg carton. I applaud you, my man.
You know what I did the other day? I was putting away all the grocerys and took out the paper towel roll I had left over, put the ones from the store in the back and the old one in the front to be used first!
Auuuugh! What has she done to us?
I mean WTF, do paper towels have an expiration date?
I love you guys!
Kristi is my idol.
She would be so proud of me. This morning I had to use all of the eggs in the box. Some fool left an odd number in the box of 18!
The dogs enjoyed a nice Sunday morning treat.
I find nothing odd in that at all. I always take outside eggs from both sides. It only makes sense.
Will you all come live on my planet?!
I still say that in order to decrease exposure to air, which spoils eggs, you should only take them from one side of the carton, so that the last eggs in the carton are those that have been the most protected.
Some day you guys will realize that I am right. But it will be too late.
