If They Had a Navy, It Could Have Been Grenada

This just in: Switzerland accidentally invaded Lichtenstein.

170 Swiss soldiers on maneuvers, accidentally invaded Lichtenstein, a nation that's a little smaller than Washington, D.C., with a population of 34,000. Fortunately for them, Lichtenstein has no army.

Swiss Army spokesman Daniel Reist said "We've spoken to the authorities in Liechtenstein and it's not a problem."

Yeah, sure. Just wait-- Lichtenstein is going to make a strategic alliance with the the Duchy of Grand Fenwick and open up a can of whup-ass on Switzerland; if the Duchy can whip the United States' butt, Switzerland's a cinch.

I had the exact same thought on Grand Fenwick. I may have to re-read that.

Men never stop and ask for directions.

The Swiss had assault rifles, but no ammunition. They also had a nail file, a corkscrew, a can opener, two tiny screwdrivers...

Wait, really? This is real? Seriously? Did they end up with a huge megabomb?

CP-
Great movie-- Peter Sellers playing several parts, just like Dr. Strangelove.

Kristi-
That's why Moses was lost in the desert so long-- he wouldn't stop and ask for directions.

Deadspot-
Rememeber the "Swiss Army Gun" on the old (i.e. actually funny) Saturday Night Live?

Natalie-
This was real, except I don't think that the Lichtenstinians ended up with the football-shaped megabomb.
