I've Earned Every One of Them...

Saturday, sonny boy and I went to the barber. I had a pleasant suprise-- Manfred, the old owner, was there because the current owner, his friend and former business partner Zlatka was visiting her family in Serbia. It was nice catching up with Manfred, who only works when Zlatka goes on vacation since he retired a few years ago.

Manfred told me about a Carribean cruise he and his wife took and his plans to visit his own family in Germany later this year, while I tried to convince Adam to get his hair cut shorter. He would have nothing of it.

I did the same thing when I was his age.

Later, at home, he walked up to me while I was seated and stated "Man, Dad, that haircut really made a lot of grey hair show!"

Thanks for pointing that out, son. I got it all from raising a teenager.

It doesn't look grey, just blonde. I am so digging the Evis bust in the backround.

There is a story behind that Elvis Bust. One of an Extremely Inebriated Mr. Yen buying the Bust Drinks at Dannys on Dickens back When Dannys was cool.
I'm sure a lot of the Grey is also due to being a Cub fan. I'm certain when Adam gains some age and wisdom and sees the error of his ways and roots for a real team, you won't have any hair left....

Ah, the joys of children.

Maybe you and Bubs can start exchanging tips, since he's broken down and started the hint of coloring recently.

Otherwise, I wouldn't worry, the photo blends it all blond anyway...

Sorry/Congrats. I tagged you.

Definitely talk to Bubs. He's got all the goods on manly hair-dying.

You should invite Bubs over for a hair-coloring party. You could even do each other's manis and pedis!

I'm sure trying to teach apathetic students, year after year had nothing to with it. And mob is one to talk, he may have to consider hair tinting pretty soon himself.

I think it's all the meme tags giving you the grey hair!

As the Elk mentions, there is a story behind it. I'll tell it soon.

You can't fool me-- I know that you were honored to have The King as a roommate.

The flash actually hid a lot of the grey. There's a lot more than apprears in the picture.

No way I'm getting rid of the grey-- I've earned it. And besides, how else will I be able to make my wife and kids feel guilty?

Thanks! I'm on it-- had a little project that needed immediate attention-- see today's post.

He's had to live with it longer-- like many dark-haired people, it started to show when he was young. It's only just starting to show in my case. I'll leave it alone for now.

I think he and I will stick to our usual male bonding-- drinking bourbon and killing large mammals with our hands.

I don't know if it's the students so much as the administrators that I can blame for the grey hair.

Do I need to send Mob a bottle of Grecian Formula?

I know-- thankfully I like doing them!

Not yet, methinks Mac is jumping the gun a bit.

Give me a couple more years of crazy inlaws and we'll talk.
